Many collegiate groups have reservation processes, specific times and places etc. which fill up fast, so make sure to do your research and get a head start! If you are having trouble finding your school's group website/twitter etc. please feel free to ask, we can help point you in the right direction as we keep tabs on hundreds of groups around the country.

For those out-of-college-but-still-wanting-to-sing people, there are auditions for many CAL groups all over! Like the recently featured on Perez Hilton Red States, who are having auditions this August! So hurry up and get your info in now!

Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 – More commonly known as "Edfringe" ,The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and takes place every August for three weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland. It hosts and showcases thousands of performers from every genre of art, and all levels of success from comedy to a cappella and everything in between. Some familiar names in European a cappella will be attending and performing including All the Kings Men on the 17th and Oxford Out of the Blue earlier on in the festival. Be sure to visit the site for more information.

CD Releases/RecordingsGroove for Thought , the contemporary jazz group from last season's The Sing Off will be hard at work this month in the studio working on their next album, hopefully out this fall. Sled Dog Studios has also launched a free weekly a cappella track campaign, aptly named Free Track Friday (a la Overboard Vocals), with the resulting tracks eventually being released as a charity album at the end of the summer.

Pros with Shows – Lots of happenings around the world this month including the many a cappella artists attending the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Take 6 takes their talents to the beautiful country of Brazil at the end of the month and into September including workshops and performances. Straight No Chaser will be in Chautauqua, NY on the 5th, Musikfest in PA on the 11th, as well as their many shows at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City. Down 4 The Count will be returning to the Complete Actors Place on Saturday, August 20th with the CA based sextet Simply Put. Also, a big congratulations to the ladies of Musae , who achieved their Kickstarter fundraising goal allowing them to continue making great a cappella music, including an album and hopefully a tour.
