High School Group Recording All-Original Album; SingStrong 2012 Update; News on the Inaugural Montreacappella; Video of the Percussion Battle from Cornell

-Forte, a group out of Centerville High School in Ohio, is raising money to professionally record an album of all original music. There are only nine days left for their Kickstarter campaign. You can check out their promotional video below and check out the rewards for contributing here.

-Five concerts? Over a dozen classes? All for charity and taking place just ten minutes from Dulles Airport? Sounds like SingStrong 2012! The festival, nominated for a 2011 A Cappella Community Award for Favorite A Cappella Event, will feature performances by The Sing-Off's Pentatonix, Afro-Blue and MAXX Factor, as well as National HArmony Sweepstakes champs DaCapo, Blue Jupiter, and other pro acts. The weekend will also include the return of the celebrated ACA-Idol competition, featuring Capital Blend, INCHant, Note-oriety, The Cocktails, Dharmakappella, Shameless, THUMMp, The Sapphires, and RAMifications. It all happens March 23-25. Weekend passes are available now and individual concert tickets will go on sale in early March. You can learn much more here.

-A brand new a cappella festival is going down in Montreal in late April--Montreacappella. On Sunday, April 22, the one-day festival will include performances by 18 groups, including a super-group composed of members of The Sing Off's YellowJackets and Mouth Off's Christopher Diaz.
