2009 ICCA dates, an a cappella musical and new collegiate groups

Here at The ACB, we are right on schedule to resume our normal posting schedule on January 5. In the meantime, some more bits of news from the off season:

-Varsity Vocals has announced a small and tentative sampling of the 2009 ICCA schedule. You can check out the latest here. The ACB will have its own Events page up to date shortly.

-Theatrefolk, an organization that provides scripts and resources for high school musicals, has recently completed an all a cappella musical, entitled Shout! Much more information about the new musical by Lindsay Price and Kristin Gauthier is available online here.

-There is an article here about the formation of Lewis University’s first a cappella group.

-Speaking of new groups, The Leading Tones may not be Penn State’s first a cappella group, but they are the school's newest ensemble, and they just had their first show this weekend.
