The King’s Singers
Amidst the a cappella scene within our own borders it's easy to lose sight of what's going on around the world. In International Spotlight we introduce readers to groups that are making noise (not to mention incredible music) in foreign lands.
Since 1969, 22 men have sung with one of the most celebrated a cappella group’s in the world: The King’s Singers. Each of the lineup of the Singers has carried a number similarities; not just that each boasted six outstanding vocal talents, but also the signature blend and perfect tuning that has become synonymous with the group’s name. Over time the group has accumulated an eclectic and diverse repertoire, reportedly featuring over 2,000 different songs, with which they’ve produced over 150 recordings and even won a Grammy in 2009. They are without question, among the most recognizable and influential a cappella groups of all time.
