The most ICCA championships for a single school

Friday Factoid

On selected Fridays, The A Cappella Blog publishes a fact, statistic or piece of history from collegiate a cappella. We welcome readers to share their own bits of uncommon knowledge, or to pose questions if there's a Friday Factoid they'd like to see.

Out of the twelve ICCA champions, there have been only three schools to win the entire competiton on more than one occasion. UC Berkeley won it twice, with the Men’s Octet winning consecutive championships in 1998 and 1999. Secondly, Millikin University plays host to two champions—Chapter 6 in 2001 and OneVoice in 2004. Lastly, Brigham Young University has also come out on top twice, first with all-male Vocal Point winning top honors in 2006, then with all-female Noteworthy winning in 2007.
