ICCA brackets are out; the BOCA 2012 track list is up; a barbershop convention scholarship; a fundraiser for UWEC a cappella festival

-Plenty of news from Varsity Vocals this week. The line ups for the 2012 ICCA quarterfinal and ICHSA semifinals are now up. In addition, on Thursday, Varsity Vocals announced the chosen tracks for BOCA 2012, which you can check out here.

-Ten scholarships are available to qualified men (ages 18-22) to attend the Atlantic Harmony Brigade’s 2012 eXtreme Quartetting ™ invitational convention weekend in Wilmington Delaware.

The Scholarships include hotel rooming for two nights, meals, high quality learning materials (bond sheet music and audio learning tracks) for twelve championship songs, wall-to-wall non-stop informal quarteting, endless quartet-partner switching, a formally adjudicated random-partner quartet contest, participation in a stage show and great barbershop networking, fraternity and general mayhem.

You can learn much more about the opportunity here or by emailing ahb.scholarships at gmail dot com.

-A cappella groups at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are holding a fundraiser to bring in the professional vocal band Home Free to clinic and judge The Festival of Voices, an intercollegiate competition on their campus on February 18, 2012.

Last year the festival brought in college groups from Madison and the University of
Minnesota and raised $729 for the choral department. You can support the effort through their KickStarter campaign.
