The Group Website

Dos and Don'ts

DON'T: Neglect to have a central location for displaying performance schedules and bios.

DO: Establish and maintain a website for your a cappella group.

There are many reasons why every a cappella group should have a well-kept website. The two most important are so that fans can have a place to find out about upcoming performances, and group members can describe themselves to the world. While I would say any web page with a semblance of biographical or event information is better than no web page at all, it is imperative that it remain up to date. At ACB, we are always conscious of the fact that our fans like to read new and exciting material. Likewise, any legitimate fan of a group wants to see up to date information. I really dislike going to web pages that have outdated schedules and bios from members who graduated years ago. So elect a member, or find a friend and start a website for your group. Don’t worry so much about how it looks, but make sure it’s accurate and up to date. Your fans will thank you.
